InfinitesEdge
Privacy policy
What we hold about you, what we process on behalf of our customers, and the difference between the two.
STF WORKS LLC, doing business as InfinitesEdge, of Greensboro, North Carolina, USA is responsible for the personal information
described here. This policy covers our websites and every InfinitesEdge product and service.
We handle personal information in two quite different roles, and the difference matters:
- As a controller, for information about the people we deal with: visitors to our sites, the
people who buy and administer our products, and anyone who contacts us. We decide what happens to it,
and this policy explains what.
- As a processor, for information our customers put into the services we host for them, which may
include details of their own employees, customers and suppliers. That information belongs to our
customer. We handle it on their instructions, to run the service they bought, and for nothing else.
1. Information we hold about you
When you visit our websites
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies
and records a truncated IP address, the pages you view, and general details of your device and browser.
- Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers from
your browser.
- If you join a mailing list or submit a form, the details you enter.
When you buy from us or hold an account
- Name, work email address, company, telephone number and billing country.
- Your subscription records: products, plans, terms, renewal dates and the identifiers needed to license
and activate what you bought.
- Optionally a mobile number, if you choose to add one for support notifications. What we send, and how to
stop it, is set out in our communications opt-out policy.
- Payment details are handled by Stripe, which is also the merchant of record for self-serve
purchases through Link, LLC. We never see or store your card number.
When you contact us, or use a product
- Your correspondence with sales or support, including anything you attach.
- Service and diagnostic records: whether something worked or failed, and the technical detail needed to
fix it. Product-specific detail is in each product's own privacy notice, such as the one for
Fusion DB Connect.
2. Information we process for our customers
Our hosted services exist to do something with a customer's own records. Depending on the service, that can
include names, work contact details, job and department information, supplier and customer records, and
identifiers needed to match one system to another.
- We act only on our customer's instructions. We do not sell this information, we do not use it for
our own purposes, and we do not use it to build or improve anything for anyone else, except as aggregated
statistics that identify neither the customer nor any individual.
- Our people access it only when they need to, to run the service, to fix a fault, or where our
customer asks us to.
- We keep it for as long as our agreement with that customer says. When the agreement ends, the
customer may export it for 30 days, after which we delete it from the live service. Backups age out on
their normal cycle.
- A data processing agreement is available on request, along with a current list of the suppliers
we use to run the services.
If you are an employee, customer or supplier of one of our customers and you want to
see, correct or delete information held in one of our services, please ask that organization. They decide
what happens to it; we will help them answer you.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To provide our products, issue licenses, take payment and give support. Necessary to perform our
contract with you.
- To run and secure our services, including detecting misuse. Our legitimate interest.
- To improve our products, using service and diagnostic records and aggregated statistics.
Legitimate interest.
- To tell you about products and updates where you asked us to. Consent, which you may withdraw at
any time.
- Analytics cookies are used with your consent where consent is required.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with suppliers who help us run the business, and only
as far as they need it:
- Stripe, including Link, LLC, for payments, invoicing and tax.
- Google Analytics for website measurement, and Google Fonts, which serves typefaces.
- Our hosting, infrastructure and email providers.
- Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
- A buyer or successor, if the business is sold, under the same commitments.
5. Where it is held
We are a US company and our systems are in the United States. If you are in the United Kingdom, the
European Economic Area or India, your information will be transferred there. Where that transfer needs a
safeguard, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum.
6. How long we keep it
- Customer data in a hosted service: as set out in section 2 and in our agreement with that
customer.
- Subscription and billing records: for as long as you are a customer, and afterwards for as long
as tax and accounting law requires.
- Support and sales correspondence: while it is useful for supporting you, and then deleted.
- Diagnostic records: only as long as needed to diagnose faults and improve the product.
- Analytics: for the retention period set in Google Analytics.
- Mailing lists and mobile numbers: until you unsubscribe or remove them.
7. How we protect it
Traffic between you and our services is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Access to customer records and to
hosted data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects
your information we will tell you promptly where the law requires it, and we will tell affected customers so
they can meet their own obligations.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it,
to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to
withdraw consent. Residents of the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area have these rights under the
UK and EU GDPR; residents of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act; residents of California
under the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
Write to sales@infinitesedge.com and we will answer within the time the
law allows. If you are unhappy with our answer you may complain to your data protection authority, such as
the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom.
9. Cookies
Our sites use cookies set by Google Analytics to measure how they are used, and your browser's local
storage to remember display preferences such as pricing region. Blocking cookies in your browser will stop
the analytics ones; the sites work without them.
10. Children
Our products are business products. They are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect
information from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change is
significant, we will tell account holders by email.
