Questions

Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. There is no credit card, no trial clock and no expiry. Free returns up to 200 rows per query against one Oracle Account and every pod it has.
Why 200 rows?
It is the same row count as the BI Publisher data model preview, which is plenty for writing, testing and debugging a query. Full result sets are for extracts and data work, and that is what the paid plans are for.
Does the row limit change what my query reads?
No. The limit applies only to rows returned. Your query still runs against all the data, so COUNT, SUM and GROUP BY return correct totals.
What counts as an Oracle Account?
One Oracle Fusion customer's group of pods, meaning every instance sharing the account prefix. If your pods are abcd, abcd-test and abcd-dev1, that is one Oracle Account and every plan covers all three. Professional covers unlimited Oracle Accounts, which is what consultants working across clients need.
How many machines can I use it on?
Free and Standard are active on one desktop at a time; Professional on two, and Enterprise on two per seat. To move to a new machine, deregister the current desktop, then register the new one.
Can Fusion DB Connect change anything in my Fusion instance?
Not on Free or Standard. SQL access is read-only on every plan, enforced by Oracle on the BI Publisher path. The REST panel is unavailable on Free and read-only on Standard. Only Professional and Enterprise can write, and only within the signed-in user's own Fusion permissions.
Is my data safe?
Queries run under your own Oracle Fusion login and security roles, never a shared service account, so you see only data you are already entitled to see. Passwords are never stored.
Do you offer regional pricing?
Yes. Three bands cover more than fifty countries, and the page shows prices for wherever you appear to be browsing from. Prices are set and charged in US dollars, so figures in other currencies are conversions at a reference rate and the rate you actually pay is your card issuer's. India is the exception: those prices are charged in rupees, because UPI is only offered at checkout against a rupee price. The band you are charged is assigned from your billing address, not from your location or the page you opened.

The small print

Oracle Accounts and pods. A pod is one Oracle Fusion instance. An Oracle Account is the group of pods belonging to one Oracle Fusion customer: pods sharing an account prefix, for example abcd, abcd-test and abcd-dev1. Your plan limits how many Oracle Accounts you may connect. The number of pods inside a licensed Oracle Account is never limited.

Read-only. Oracle disables direct database connections to Fusion Cloud. Queries run through a generic query processor installed in each pod’s BI Publisher catalog, under the calling user’s own Fusion security context, and your administrators can restrict which role may invoke it. Nobody sees a row they could not already have pulled from a BI Publisher report. They just skip the development cycle.

Regional pricing. Prices in US dollars. Rates are also published for United States ($), United Kingdom (£), India (₹). Prices are shown in the currency of wherever you appear to be browsing from, as a convenience, converted at a reference rate. The band you are actually charged is set at checkout from your billing address and a payment method issued in that country, not from your location or the page you opened. Entitlements are identical in every band; only the price changes. Ask us about regional pricing.

Registration. Every plan, Free included, is licensed to one registered named user and requires a valid email address. Prices are subject to change; quotations are honoured for the period stated. September 2026.
